We Are Stardust…

At a recent retreat, in a discourse exploring the subject of Unity and Oneness, someone recalled a song written in 1969 by Joni Mitchell called Woodstock for the iconic counter-culture festival in August of that year. Joni couldn’t make it to the festival, but was so struck by its energy and impact that she wrote a song to capture the Moment.
The lyrics are enduring and speak of a time past and a future hope, and our unity as a species with our planet.

We are billion-year-old carbon

The song is a Recognition, a Remembering and an Invitation; with longing for meaning, connection and purpose.
