This is an extraordinary contribution to the world of podcasts, which number 4.5 million globally so far in 2026. That amounts to a lot of talking and conversation.

The Sound of Silence podcast, created by Steven Chapman, captures the silence between people rather than their mundane or erudite conversations. Its a joy to sit in Silence and hear beyond words. Steven recorded 100 moments, taking 2.5 years;  his final 100th episode a moment of sound and silence both familiar and uplifting. 

Its a delight to have Silence recorded in podcast form and available in a world overflowing with more and more noise.
