The Beauty of Numbers
1st May 2026
Here at WoR we love numbers; they reflect an inherent Reality that is woven through the physical life we lead as well as the subtle fields we inhabit. When their integral presence is engaged with, rather than conceptually or in the abstract, they bring harmony, resonance and flows of energy.
For example, meet the number 5 (which has always been my lucky number for no cognitive or rational reason). This number’s significance is related to;
☆ It is a prime number which means it can’t be divided so is considered ‘pure’
☆ It sits in the middle of 1-9 so is a balancing number
☆ In Islam there are 5 pillars, in Hinduism 5 elements, in Buddhism 5 precepts, in Chinese medicine the 5 phases
☆ The human body has 5 fingers, 5 toes, 5 senses
☆ In geometry there is the 5 pointed star and the pentagram which appears as a constant presence in nature
☆ It’s tied to the proportions of the golden ratio - the perfect balance that is in sacred architecture, nature and symbolic objects
